Hyderabad: As a part of the green India challenge, Badminton Coach P.Gopi Chand today planted a sapling in his Badminton academy at Gachi Bowli Hyderabad and challenged others to do so. Whip G.Balaraju who is representing the L.B Nagar constituency in Hyderabad, challenged Gopi Chand to plant a tree.
Accordingly, Gopi Chand accepted it and planted a sapling in his academy. Talking to the media on this occasion Gopi Chand who has trained P.V Sindhu and others praises the program and pointed out the green cover enhances with this novel initiative. He advised others to follow the suit and maintained that the awareness should be largely spread in the general masses.
It may be recalled that the Member of Parliament G.Santosh Kumar who hails from the ruling party TRS had started this novel idea to enhance the green cover in the state and so far many icons have planted saplings in their houses by accepting the challenge. They planted a sapling, taking selfies and posted on various social media platforms.
They gave another challenge to other celebrities as well. Thus this challenge has been going on and on.
