Hyderabad: Telangana Governor ESL Narasimhan, Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao and AP Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy today expressed deep condolences at the demise of veteran Congress leader and former chief minister of Delhi Sheila Dikshit. She died of cardiac arrest at an hospital in Delhi. She was 81.
Governor Narasimhan expressed his grief at Dikshit’s demise and conveyed sympathies to the bereaved family members. In a release, K Chandrasekhar Rao conveyed his heartfelt condolences to the bereaved family members. AP Chief Minister YS Jagan Reddy also conveyed sympathies to the kin of the former chief minister of Delhi who breathed her last this morning.
According to the information, Sheila Dikshit breathed her last at Fortis Escorts Hospital in Delhi at 3.55 pm.
TPCC president N. Uttam Kumar Reddy also expressed his grief and conveyed condolences over the death of Sheila Dixit. In a condolence message, Uttam Kumar Reddy said Sheila Dikshit worked as chief minister of Delhi for 15 years. He said the death of the veteran Congress leader was a great loss for the party. He prayed that the soul of Sheila rest in peace. Former PCC president Ponnala laxmaiah, TPCC working president Ponnam Prabhakar also expressed condolences on the death of the former CM. (NSS)
