Govt has not imposed restrictions of Ganesha idols

Hyderabad: Minister for Animal Husbandry, Fisheries, Dairy Development Corp, and Cinematography Talasani Srinivas Yadav today clarified that the Telangana government does not have imposed any type of restrictions on the height of the Ganesha Idols however it has been taking the precautions in view of the Covid19 pandemic.

Talking to the media after the formal meeting with the representatives of Bhagya Nagar Ganesh Utsav Samithi and higher officials of various departments, he said that the KCR led state government respects all the festivals of all the religions. He said that the discussions were held on various issues to celebrate the festival this year in view of the Covid19 pandemic. The representatives of the Samithi have given their opinions.

Minister announced that another meeting will be held next week and the if needed series of three to four meetings would be held with the organizers to consult on various issues about the festival. All the participants have maintained the social distance in today’s meeting and gave their valuable opinion on this issue.

He said that The pandemic is worldwide and nobody expects this kind of situation. On the other hand, the Covid cases are rising in the State Capital Hyderabad.

“We have to honor the situation while celebrating the festivals. we have celebrated the festivals like Sriram Navami, Ugadi, Ramzan, Bakrid, Mahankali Jatra, Vinayak Chaturthi in this pandemic, we have to proceed with the upcoming festivals Dasehra, Dipawali by honoring the situation. It is not in any body’s hand. We are currently discussing how to organize this year’s Ganesh celebrations in the context of Corona. We will meet again in three or four days to take a final joint decision on how to organize the festivities”. He adds

The Bhagya Nagar Ganesh Utsav Samithi representative has said the meeting was held in the cordial atmosphere. Many issues including the initiatives to be taken during the covid 19 situations were also discussed.
