Gujarat to reopen schools, colleges from Jan 11

The Gujarat government on Wednesday has decided that they are going to reopen the schools for class 10 and 12 and colleges in the state from January 11and all covid protocol and guidelines are to be followed and the education minister has also said that decision regarding the other class and primary schools will be taken later.

The education minister of Gujarat Bhupendrasinh Chudasama has said that “In today’s meeting headed by the Gujarat Chief Minister it has been decided that to reopen the schools for classes 10th and 12th and colleges in the state. Before that, I had lots of discussions with my department officials, educational experts, academicians, and other stakeholders about going for the continuation of education. Today, the cabinet has decided that for these classes and colleges, education will be allowed to continue from January 11th. For this, they shall strictly have to follow the Standard Operating Protocol prepared by the central government.”
The education minister also added that “The colleges and universities, the classes for postgraduate, medical and paramedical will also be reopened. The present system of online education will also have to be continued by the educational institutes in the state,”

The education minister has also said that the decision was taken on by the government Wednesday applicable to all the school’s colleges in the state including the government, self-financed, Balika Vidyalay Kasturba Gandhi, and all the schools under Social justice and empowerment. the rest of the primary schools and other schools the government will be deciding on it later.

the attendance of the students will not be mandatory, but the schools and colleges should have written consent from the parents of the students and For that, a form will be provided by the government to the parents and all the principals of all the educational institutes have to ensure that all the corvid-19 safety protocol and guidelines adequate.
