Harish Rao directs officials to present reading glasses to patients immediately

Finance and Health Minister T Harish Rao has directed the health department officials that reading glasses be distributed to patients following the completion of tests at the Kanti Velugu camp.

After inspecting the Kanti Velugu camp in the 43rd ward of Siddipet town on Friday, the Health Minister advised them to upload prescriptions of the prescribed glasses on Kanti Velugu so that the government machinery can send the glasses to the patient within 15 days of the prescription being uploaded.

Interacting with the people at the Kanti Velugu camp, Rao has enquired them whether the program was useful.

The majority of people had told the Minister that the Kanti Velugu program was especially beneficial to the elderly.

He has directed the official to provide all facilities at Kanti Velugu camps to ensure that patients have a trouble-free visit.

The Minister has asked elected representatives to keep citizens informed about the Kanti Velugu camps so that everyone can take advantage of the opportunity.

Medak MLA M Padmadevendar Reddy, DM&HO Dr Kasinath, Municipal Commissioner Ravindar Reddy and others were present. Earlier, Rao has attended the marriage of the Municipal Chairman Kadavergu Manjula Rajanarsu’s son in Siddipet.

T Harish Rao wants the State Government’s prestigious Kanti Velugu program to be included in the Guinness Book of World Records. He stated that everyone, including officials from all departments and public representatives, should work hard to achieve the record.

Speaking about the shortage of doctors for the successful implementation of Kanti Velugu, Harish Rao made it clear that there was no shortfall of doctors since they are going to recruit 960 doctors within one week.

He directed officials to take all necessary steps to ensure the second phase of the Kanti Velugu program was a huge success, and he encouraged officials from all departments to actively participate in the program, which was designed to help the poor.
