Hyderabad: Caretaker Minister T Harish Rao today unveiled a Gandhi statue in Siddipet here and offered floral tributes to father of the nation to mark 150th birth anniversary.
Speaking on the occasion, Harish Rao said TRS chief K Chandrasekhar Rao has fought for 14 years and achieved statehood for Telangana. KCR Government follows Gandhi ideals of Grama Swarajya, transparent governance and all round development to meet people aspirations he said. Harish attributed the new Panchayat Raj Act for achieving fast development of villages with funds for facilities.
He called upon the youth and people to maintain cleanliness and vie for greenery in their premises for better environment by planting saplings. He said that the development works need support and involvement of the people. All the people should follow the footsteps shown by Gandhiji for peace, harmony and brotherhood, Harish Rao added.
