Harish wants Dindi works completed by Dec

Hyderabad: Irrigation Minister T Harish Rao today said that Dindi project works have to be completed by this year end.

At a review meeting at Jala Saudha here on the projects, land acquisition and R and R works the minister also set a deadline to complete the works by October with quality. The government released Rs 20 cr for Singarajupally and Erravelli Gokaram reservoirs he said that 13000 acres will be irrigated on completion of the related works. He also instructed to ensure that reservoir will cater to irrigation needs for next 200 years.

Agreeing to give Rs 10 cr for each related reservoirs like Singarajupally and Gottimukkala Harish set a deadline to complete them by October. He directed the officials concerned to coordinate for speedy completion of the projects by completing the process of land acquisition, replacement and rehabilitation. Necessary compensation be paid to the victims paving way for the projects on time he said.

The minister, while agreeing to allocate Rs 10 crore for Kistarampally reservoir, has asked the officials to complete the package five and six works on time. Prepare a separate plan of action to complete Sivannagudem reservoir, he said and asked them to complete replacement and rehabilitation works at Narsireddygudem reservoir. (NSS)
