Heavy rains in Telangana for next five days: IMD

The India Metrological Department (IMD) Hyderabad, Telangana on Saturday issued a weather warning across the State of Telangana. IMD Hyderabad, Telangana said that from Saturday itself the state will receive thunderstorms accompanied by lightning and heavy rains.

The weather warning by IMD Hyderabad, Telangana cautions of thunderstorms accompanied by lightning and heavy rains will be till the 19th of October.

Hyderabad Meteorological center department of Telangana State said that the cause of the heavy rain would be from the formation of the very serious low depression over the Arabian sea and added that it would weaken during the 48 hours after traveling towards the western side of the sea.

On the other hand, another Lowe depression area is still active over the Bay of Bengal on the southern coast of Andhra Pradesh state. It said that one more low depression area was likely to be formed in the Bay of Bengal on October 19. The center said that the state would also witness normal to heavy rains in the state during the next three days.

The Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) tweeted saying that “Most parts of the city are likely to witness moderate to heavy rainfall. Citizens are advised to stay indoors unless unavoidable Dial-100 for emergencies for any other assistance from DRF Team dial 040-29555500”
