Telangana High Court today directed the state government to stop tree chopping in KBR Park in the city and take steps to protect the environment.
In a case on tree felling in KBR Park the court directed the officials concerned to stop chopping of the trees.
The Court gave interim orders on the issue and sought a report from the government. The petitioner sought the court to direct the government to stop tree felling in the name of road development in the park.

The Court asked for a report of the trees chopped and their age and to stop chopping them. The court postponed the case to four weeks.
