Human rights activist Sambasiva rao dies of coronavirus

Hyderabad: Noted human rights activist U. Sambasiva Rao, who is popular as Uoosa, died of coronavirus in the state capital today. He breathed his last while undergoing treatment at a private hospital in Barkatpura.

He led several agitation programs on social oppression, class discrimination, and loot for several decades. He was born in Brahmanakoduru of the Guntur District of Andhra Pradesh state. He was attracted to revolutionary ideologies since his student days. He became a farmers leader in Motkur of Nalgonda district in the year 1982.  He played a crucial role in organizing a massive agitation on Electricity Low voltage problems.
