Hyderabad: BJP MP Arvind files complaint against Kavitha for ‘criminal intimidation’

After the recent clash between TRS and BJP at the residence of BJP MP Dharmapuri Arvind, the MP has now filed a complaint against TRS MLC Kavitha.

Arvind stated in a complaint to the Station House Officer (SHO) of Banjara Hills that Kavitha held a press conference today at 12 p.m. during which she used derogatory language against him and his party members. Arvind took issue with Kavitha’s alleged use of the words “Ventabadi thantham” (Will follow and thrash them) and “Kotti Kotti Samputham” (Will beat them to their deaths).

Bringing up the earlier Friday attack on his house by TRS workers, Arvind wrote that “TRS MLC Kavitha had conspired and instigated her henchmen who gathered at my house.” Arvind claimed that his home was attacked at the same time as Kavitha’s press conference.

Arvind requested that the police charge Kavitha with “criminal conspiracy and intimidation” (in addition to the charges already filed against some TRS workers who committed vandalism) in the “name of justice.”

TRS workers demonstrated outside D Arvind’s house after the MP stated that Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) MLC Kavitha had expressed interest in joining the Congress party because she was dissatisfied with how TRS was faring under the current government under her father Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao’s leadership.

K Kavitha, he claimed, had called Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge and expressed her desire to join the party.

Arvind told the media at the state party headquarters in Hyderabad that she made the decision because she was unhappy with her father.

He made the above remarks in response to KCR’s claims that the BJP is attempting to lure his daughter, MLC Kavitha, into its fold.

Arvind stated that Kavitha is not required to join the BJP, despite the fact that KCR recently claimed that the saffron party had asked her to join.

Arvind stated that he would request BJP National President JP Nadda, and state president Bandi Sanjay Kumar to suspend if any leader takes an initiative to bring Kavitha into the party fold.
