Hyderabad’ brand image will be dented, Kishan Reddy

Hyderabad: Union minister of the state for home affairs G. Kishan Reddy today said that the image of the state capital Hyderabad would be dented with the attitude of the state government over extending support to the flood victims of the city and implementation of relief and rehabilitation measures.

He asked the state government as to how the state would get investments if its brand image was damaged. He asked the state government to spend money lying in the disaster management fund.  He made these remarks after inspecting the flood-hit area Manikeswari Nagar of Tarnaka.

Kishan Reddy interacted with the Hyderabad flood-hit victims. Speaking on the occasion he said that the statements of the state minister that the central government was not giving funds to the state for taking up the rehabilitation work. He said that the state government should build double bedroom houses for those whose houses have been collapsed during the recent rains. He said that the central government would give funds on the basis of the report submitted by its central team. He said that the central government would stand by the people of the state.
