Hyderabad: Centre conducts Ease of Living survey

A survey is being conducted by the Union Ministry of Housing and Urban Development to assess the Ease of Living in cities with a population of more than 10 lakh people.

The Ease of Living, Citizen Perception Survey 2022 will be conducted in the city as well to assess the quality of living in the Greater Hyderabad area.

A series of 17 questions prepared by the Union Ministry of Housing and Urban Development must be answered by citizens regarding house rent, public transportation, etc. Since the survey on the standard of living began on Thursday itself, city dwellers are invited to participate in the survey by scanning the relevant QR code.

You can participate in the survey either through the URL. A total of eight languages are being used to conduct the survey. The questions are available in Telugu, Hindi, English, Kannada, Tamil, Malayalam, Marathi, and Gujarat.

Following are the steps for Citizen Perception Survey

Step 1: Enter Url: https://eol2022.org/

Step 2: Click on Take Survey

Step 3: Enter Citizen Details

Step 4: Select State as Telangana and Select City as Hyderabad

Step 4: Click on proceed

Step 5: Enter responses for all 17 questions and submit

In the Ease of Living Index 2020, Hyderabad ranked 24th out of 111 Indian cities with a score of 55.40. Furthermore, the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) ranked 17th in the Municipal Performance Index, with Indore topping the list with a score of 66.08, followed by Surat and Bhopal.

The Ease of Living Index (EoLI) is a tool for assessing the quality of life and the impact of various urban development initiatives. It offers a comprehensive understanding of participating cities in India based on their quality of life, economic ability, sustainability, and resilience. Through a Citizen Perception Survey, the assessment also incorporates residents’ perspectives on the services provided by the city administration.
