Hyderabad: GHMC asks citizens to participate in online Citizen Perception Survey

In an effort to propel Hyderabad ahead of other 264 Indian cities in the online Citizen Perception Survey conducted by the Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs on Thursday, the GHMC has asked citizens to actively participate in the survey.

According to a press release on Thursday, the survey being conducted as part of measuring the Ease of Living Index will capture the perception of citizens on the quality of life in their cities.

GHMC said that a positive response in the survey, available in eight languages including Telugu, Hindi and English, will help put Hyderabad on top compared with other Indian cities. In order to measure the liveability of a city, citizens are asked to register their opinions on 17 different parameters related to infrastructure and other aspects.

People will be asked about their perceptions of public transportation, education facilities, healthcare services, water availability, cost of living, and employment opportunities in their cities.

Through a Citizen Perception Survey, the assessment also incorporates residents’ perspectives on the services provided by the city administration.
