Hyderabad: Home guard sedates and rapes woman transport officer

As per the latest reports, Jubilee Hills Police were approached by a Transport Sub-inspector from the Regional Transport Office claiming she was drugged and raped by a Home Guard from the same department.

Police say the accused threatened to upload the video of him abusing the victim and recently demanded Rs 50 lakh in exchange for deleting it. Although the offender was arrested on Saturday and sent to judicial remand the following day, the incident only came to light on Monday.

In 2018, the woman officer, who lived separately from her husband, transferred to Khammam district, where she met the accused, who worked at the same office.

She had parted ways with her husband and was living separately with her two children and mother. Under the pretext of helping her family, the accused allegedly became close to the survivor after learning about her estranged husband.

By helping her with daily chores and gaining her trust, he became close to her and her family members. He went to her house one day and allegedly laced a juice with sedatives and raped her after she fell unconscious, she claimed.

He allegedly raped her after she went unconscious. The victim told police that he filmed the entire act on his phone and began blackmailing her, threatening to post the videos on social media. Meanwhile, the victim was recently transferred to Hyderabad and blocked the accused’s phone number.
