What is Formula E?

Since its debut in 2014, Formula E is an electric-powered single-seater championship that was granted world championship status by the FIA in 2020-21 during its seventh season.

Unlike Formula One, where races are held on purpose-built circuits, Formula E, also known as E-Prix, is held on street circuits, promoting electric mobility and bringing racing closer to the fans of the sport. As a result, Hyderabad will become the only city in India to host Formula E racing, along with 13 other cities worldwide.
