Hyderabad: Police arrest office boy for filming women in boutique washroom

Recent reports indicate that Police have arrested an office boy for filming women in the washroom of a boutique in Banjara Hills.

Mithun Das, identified as the culprit, later sent the images to a 32-year-old woman. Previously, the woman worked as an accountant at the boutique.

She discovered that the pictures showed that it was the washroom of a boutique in Filmnagar after carefully analyzing them. A police complaint was made to the Banjara Hills police department on Thursday.

The victim in her complaint reported receiving a message on her mobile phone three days ago. As soon as she clicked the link, she saw her obscene photographs.

As part of her complaint to the police, she stated that Mithun Das, a West Bengal native, took the photos without her knowledge with the intention of blackmailing her. She believed Das may have hidden a camera in the washroom and taken pictures of her.

In addition, the woman said she had checked the employee records at the boutique. The phone number on the records matched Mithun Das’s.

Das has been taken into custody under section 354 of the IPC and a case has been registered against him. When the police searched his mobile phone, they found similar images of other women.

“He told us that they were pictures of other women who worked at the boutique. Das placed the mobile phone in an advantageous position in the washroom and took videos and converted them into photographs. On a few occasions, he took the photos from an adjacent washroom,” said Banjara Hills sub-inspector T Srikanth Goud.

In March, an employee of a private hospital was arrested for filming a video of a woman showering in the washroom.

The accused had admitted his crime after an investigation was conducted by the police, and a case had been registered against him under various sections of the Indian Penal Code, including section 354, section 354-C, and section 67.
