Hyderabad police Commissioner issues guidelines for New Year

Hyderabad police Commissioner CV Anand today issues guidelines for New Year celebrations. In his guidelines, he asked the residents of the city and the management of three-star and above hotels, pubs, and clubs to follow the guidelines.

He said the organizers and management should also ensure that no person without a mask shall be allowed in the venue and also ensure that IR thermometers/thermal scanners should be arranged at the entry point to scan persons entering the venue.

The organizers were also asked to personally ensure that the passes/tickets/coupons are not issued in excess of the capacity which violates Covid protocols and social distancing as per the G.O. No. 82, a fine of Rs. 1,000 for not wearing masks by people in public spaces will be imposed.

He also asked the residents to follow social distance norms. He said that the management of different establishments should take permission two days prior to the celebrations. He also asked them to hold Covid tests on all their staff 48 hours prior to the celebrations.

He made it clear there was no permission for holding DJ music programs for the new year. He said that they would take action against those who resort to sound pollution. He said that those who drive their vehicles after consuming Alcohol would face jail imprisonment of 6 months and a ₹10,000 fine.
