Hyderabad: Police issue traffic advisory in view of Eid-ul-Fitr

Traffic police in Hyderabad announced traffic restrictions in view of Eid-ul-Fitra which is to be on May 3.

Areas around Mir Alam Eidgah and Hockey Grounds at Masab Tank will see restrictions or diversions that will be imposed between 8 am and 11.30 am on the day of the festival.

Mir Alam Tank Idgah:

From 8 a.m. to 11.30 a.m., vehicular traffic (Namazees) from Puranapul, Kamatipura, Kishanbagh towards Eidgah and Mir Alam Tank will be allowed through the Bahadurpura crossroads. In the hours leading up to prayer time, all general vehicular traffic will be diverted to Kishanbagh, Kamatipura, or Puranapul, instead of Eidgah, Tadban.

Furthermore, general traffic will not be permitted toward Eidgah, diverted at Danamma Huts crossroads at Shastripuram, NS Kunta, etc. At Kalapather L&O PS, vehicles will be diverted to Mochi Colony, Bahadurpura, Shamsheergunj, and Nawab Saheb Kunta instead of Eidgah.

RTC buses travelling from Puranapul to Bahadurpura will be diverted at Puranapul Darwaza to Jiyaguda and the City College side until the congregation has dispersed after prayers. The heavy vehicles including RTC buses from Shamshabad, Rajendra Nagar and Mailardevpally travelling towards Bahadurpura will also be diverted at Aramghar Junction to Shamshabad, Rajendranagar or Mailardevpally until the congregation has dispersed.

Hockey Ground, Masab Tank:

No vehicular traffic will be allowed under the Masab Tank junction flyover where namazees will offer prayers at Hockey Ground, Masab Tank. Commuting from the Mehdipatnam side and Lakdikapul side will be permitted only on the flyover from 7 a.m. to 10 a.m.

From Mehdipatnam, traffic towards Road No.1, Banjara Hills will be diverted via flyover Masab Tank, via Ayodhya Junction (left turn) Khairtabad, RTA Office, Khairtabad (left turn) Taj Krishna Hotel, etc.

Lakdi-ka-pul traffic intending to go via Masab Tank to Road No.1/12 Banjara Hills will be diverted at Ayodhya Junction to Nirankari, Khairtabad, VV Statue, Khairtabad RTA Office (left turn) Taj Krishna Hotel. There will be no traffic allowed from below the Masab Tank flyover to Road No.1, Banjara Hills until the end of prayers.

Vehicle traffic from Road No. 12, Banjara Hills will not be allowed to proceed to Masab Tank and will be diverted to Road No. 1/12 Junction in direction of Taj Krishna Hotel – Right Turn – RTA Khairtabad; and

vehicular traffic from NFCL Junction, Punjagutta will be diverted to Taj Krishna Hotel in order to proceed towards Errum Manzil Colony, RTA Khairtabad, Nirankari, Lakdikapool, Masab Tank flyover
