Hyderabad Police Restriction on Free Supply Oxygen Cylinders by NGO’S, Amjadullah demands explanation

Hyderabad: Amjadullah Khan MBT Spokesman said that today he came to know that Sri Anjani Kumar IPS Commissioner of Police Hyderabad tweeted against hoarding, illegal buying or selling of Oxygen Cylinders and quoted a case booked in Golconda PS of the arrest of a person with 29 Cylinders and warned all that they will be booked in Explosives Act & Disaster Management Act.

Thereafter all SHO’s started calling all the NGO’s and those people who are giving Oxygen Cylinders free of cost to the patients, including Covid-19 and some who are even giving door delivery and there have been instances that some patients admitted in Govt Hospitals were also supplied Oxygen Cylinders by this NGO’s to stop this charity work.

Mr. Khan further said that on one side there are no beds available in Govt Hospitals and Corporate Hospitals are charging lakhs & lakhs for treating Covid-19 patient and even the Govt has asked patients to home Quarantine and take medicines.

Mr. Khan demanded Commissioner of Police Hyderabad should clarify and explain his tweet whether he warned of action to all those who are doing charity work or his tweet his being misinterpreted by shos.

Mr. Khan requested Sri Eataly Rajender Minister for Health and Sri KT Rama Rao Minister for MA&UD to intervene in this matter and clarify because since morning many asthmatic, Covid-19 patient is in need of Oxygen Cylinders and due to fear they are not being supplied.
