Hyderabad: Some of the unique features of Police Command Centre

The Police Command and Control Centre is not only a massive structure that oversees CCTV footage from around the state but also has many unique features that set it apart from other buildings.

Tower A has 20 floors, which is the Hyderabad City Police Commissionerate, and Tower B has 15 floors, which will serve as the ‘Technology Fusion Tower’ with all Dial-100 backups.

SHE safety, cyber and narcotics, crime branches, and an incubation center will also be located in Tower B.

The massive structure contains parking for 600 four-wheelers and 350 two-wheelers. It stands 272 feet tall and is 6.42 lakh square feet in size.

The center’s other towers house a 480-seat auditorium, a media center, and a training center. Command control and data center in tower E will house the departments responsible for CCTV monitoring. The war room and receiving room are also located in this tower.

A helipad has been built on top of the structure for emergency operations.

The 14th and 15th floors are occupied by a museum displaying the history of Telangana Police and a 360-degree viewing gallery.

The police command and control center, interestingly, is a “green building.” According to the police, the glass facade allows the building to save up to 50% on energy consumption. Solar panels will also generate up to 0.5 megawatts of electricity.

There is no wooden furniture in the center because everything is made of recycled materials. Furthermore, 35% of the land has been designated for plantation. The posh new structure includes a yoga studio, a gym, and a wellness center.

On Thursday, Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao inaugurated the Telangana State Police Integrated Command and Control Centre in Banjara Hills.

Home Minister Mohd Mahmood Ali, Cinematography Minister T Srinivas Yadav, Chief Secretary Somesh Kumar, DGP Telangana M Mahendar Reddy, and other officials accompanied him.
