Hyderabad to Get Rs 1200 Cr for Drinking Water, Improve Power Supply in Villages: KCR

Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao today directed the officials concerned to address the issues of Hyderabad city drinking water needs, and power supply in all villages and Vaikuntadhamams or public cemeteries. He chaired a Cabinet meeting at Pragati Bhavan here today.

The Chief Minister announced to spend about Rs 1200 Crore for Hyderabad drinking water and provide a third line to improve power supply in villages. He instructed the officials concerned to take immediate measures to provide public cemeteries in all villages and towns. Most of the villages and towns have no cemeteries and related complaints be addressed he said.

The Chief Minister discussed on land pooling, registration of the lands, properties, fever survey works, steps to increase facilities in rural areas.  It is said that the government is planning to sell unused or waste lands to get revenue for development programs. This issue along with charges or fees hike in registration were also discussed in the cabinet meeting.

The Chief Minister also stated that the villages be spruced up with all facilities.  Recently held green drive, Palle Pragati Pattana Pragati gave good results, he expressed content. The issues in the villages and towns to be addressed immediately by using more funds and starting works urgently, he said.

The  Chief Minister took decisions on key issues like filling up of 50000 jobs in the state, Covid-19 situation, fight to get Krishna waters, power generation at Hydel projects, plan to check possible third wave, Second wave, and vaccination and taken some key decisions.
