The Kazakh officials expressed strong interest in launching direct flights between the two cities, with plans to visit Hyderabad by the end of the year. The purpose of their visit will be to hold discussions with GMR Airport and Indian airline operators to facilitate the initiation of these operations, potentially creating a new air corridor between the regions.
In addition to aviation, Dr. Khan highlighted ongoing efforts to boost tourism between India and Kazakhstan. He held talks with Mr. Kairat Sadvakassov, Chairman of the Management Board of JSC “National Company Kazakh Tourism.
” Both parties explored opportunities for joint tourism promotion initiatives. To further strengthen tourism ties, Mr. Sadvakassov is scheduled to visit Hyderabad in November-December 2024 to organize a tourism promotion program in collaboration with the Consulate of Kazakhstan in Hyderabad.

His meeting with His Excellency Kairat Torebayev, Vice-Minister of Trade and Integration of Kazakhstan, centered on expanding export and import activities between the two nations, particularly in the booming sectors of pharmaceuticals and information technology. Both sides acknowledged the immense potential for growth in these industries, which could pave the way for enhanced economic cooperation.
