Hyderabad Turns Pink With Blitzkrieg Of TRS Hoardings And Posters

Hyderabad: A Blitzkrieg of huge hoardings, cut-outs, posters, flags and buntings of TRS that were put up all over in connection with the party’s Pragati Nivedana rally on Sunday has virtually turned city pink !.

The ruling party has planned the Pragati Nivedana Sabha on the outskirts of the city to present the TRS Government’s progress report about the achievements and welfare and development works initiated during the last four and half years. The party is mobilizing 25 lakh people for the rally which is being billed as the Mother of all rallies in the country.

The pink coloured huge hoardings adorned all high rise structures at vantage points all over the city. Even hundreds posters were passed on almost all metro pillars and at strategic points All these hoardings and posters carried the pictures of a smiling Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhara Rao with messages about the goverment’s welfare and development projects taken up so far.

The hoardings and posters highlighted the government schemes like Mission Bhagiratha, Mission Kakatiya, Kalyana Laxmi and Shadi Mubrarak sops, 24-hour uninterrupted power supply, pensions to the aged, widows and single women, fine rice for students in welfare hostels, Rythu Bandhu and Rythu Bheema schemes for the farming community, double bedroom project etc.

Interestingly the message on many of the huge hoardings with KCR’s picture read ” Bangaru Telangana is Our Dreams and Our Vision” It further said that to achieve this “KCR should come to power again”. If one reads between the lines, these messages with an appeal to ensure KCR’s Return to Power amply speaks of the Chief Minister’s plans for advancing the elections. It in fact seems to endorse speculations about early polls in the state.

Another interesting thing about the hoardings and posters that they contained only the pictures of KCR and none others as previously on such important occasions and functions of the ruling party pictures of all and sundry on the pink brigade use to appear in such poster wars.

Even hundreds of pink flags that adorned the flyovers, busy thoroughfares etc contained the pictures of only KCR. Almost all traffic junctions were decorated with pink buntings.

There is an animated suspense among all sections of the people, particularly in the political circles, regarding the announcements the Chief Minister is likely to make at the Pragati Nivedana Sabha. Though KCR’s daughter and Nizamabad MP K. Kavitha has been entrusted the job of reading the progress report of the governments achievements, the Chief Minister will also address the huge gathering and is likely to open his heart about going for early elections or not.

However going by the messages on the hoardings and posters there is a clear indication that KCR might sound the bugle for early elections. The manner in which has been effecting large scale transfers of IAS and IPS officers also strengthened speculations about the state gearing up for early elections. (NSS).
