Hyderabad: Two arrested for raping and impregnating minor

Earlier this week, the Chatrinaka Police arrested two persons accused of impregnating a minor and sexually assaulting her for over a year.

It was only when the victim’s parents found out the girl was five months pregnant that the incident came to light. After being asked by the parents who committed the crime, they took her in confidence. A cousin of the victim was identified as one of the accused.

Chatrinaka police registered a case against the accused under the POCSO Act based on the complaint filed by the victim’s parents. According to the police, the accused enticed the victim into marriage in order to commit the offense.

In response to the offender’s demands, the victim gave in to the offender, who invited his friends to rape her. According to BJP leader Syed Shahazadi, a member of the National Commission for Minorities visited Chatrinaka police station and inquired about the case’s progress. As a result of Shahzadi’s arrogant behavior, police officials became miffed.

Bail plea of accused rejected in Jubilee Hills gang rape case

Four minor accused persons’ bail petitions were rejected by the Juvenile Justice Board on Wednesday. During the bail hearing, the prosecution strongly opposed the bail request. During the counter-petition, the prosecution argued that further investigation is underway and the accused’s release would be detrimental.

Furthermore, the prosecution informed the court that the accused can influence the victim and other witnesses once they are out on bail. Additionally, the victim’s 164 CrPc statement made before the court clearly demonstrates prima facie involvement in the crime.

In addition to this, the police’s lawyer claimed that since all the accused, including minors, have undergone the Potency test (a medical examination that enables the authorities to prove a person’s potency) and because medical experts have certified that the accused can commit rape, they are physically fit to commit rape.

All four minor defendants pleaded innocence in court and requested that bail be considered since they are minors. On June 23, another minor accused is scheduled to file a bail petition.

Five minors and a major accused of gang-rapping a teenager and molestation involving one minor were arrested by the city police on May 28 in Jubilee Hills. The minors have been detained at the Juvenile Home for Boys at Saidabad since their arrest, and Malik has been detained at the Chanchalguda jail since his arrest.
