A man was arrested in Banjara Hills for sexually assaulting a woman after promising to marry her. It was a few months ago that B Prakash, 21, of Road No. 2 Banjara Hills, befriended the girl on Instagram. They became good friends, and when Prakash told her they would get married soon, she began visiting his house.
According to Banjara Hills police, Prakash sexually assaulted the victim on several occasions at his home under the pretext of marriage.
She confronted Prakash after finding out he had an affair with another girl a few days ago. She was then refused marriage by Prakash, citing various reasons.
A zero FIR was registered by the Medchal police, which was transferred to the Banjara Hills police, who re-registered a case and arrested Prakash.
Juvenile and three others charged with raping a minor girl
After kidnapping a minor girl from Rajendranagar, the Chandrayangutta police arrested three people, including a juvenile.
In the case of the victim, who was traveling to her grandmother’s house last week, the three arrested individuals were Shaik Aijaz (19) of Venkatapur, Shaik Sohail (20) of Balapur, and a youth aged around 17 years, along with one more person, were found near Aramgarh crossroads. In response to family issues, the girl left Ghousenagar in Chandrayangutta without informing anyone.

In order to trace her, the parents complained to Chandrayangutta Police after the victim did not speak to them for a few hours. They filed a case with the Indian Penal Code under Section 363 (kidnapping) in order to find out where she was. Two days after the police searched for her, the girl returned home and told her parents that she had been kidnapped by a group of young people and sexually assaulted.
A second police call was made, after which the mother was taken to Bharosa Centre to make a statement about the whole incident. Police tracked down the suspects and arrested three of them using a telephone number and surveillance feed.
She was taken to a hotel for dinner by the suspects after they found her alone on the road. She was later sexually assaulted at various places.
As part of a criminal investigation, the police have invoked Sections 366(A), 376(3), 376DA, 201 read with Section 34 of the Indian Penal Code and Section 5 (g) read with Section 6 of the POCSO Act.
There has yet to be an official confirmation of the incident from the police.
