Hyderabad: Young man murdered at Langer Houz

An unidentified group of people hacked a young man to death at Langer Houz on Wednesday night.

On the Langer Houz – Attapur road, Mohd Jahangir, a resident of Shaheen Nagar, was seen having an argument with three people after which he was stabbed with knives and daggers. The assailants fled as the man collapsed from bleeding injuries.

The assailants threatened a few residents who tried to intervene. Upon receiving the information, police rushed to the scene and transferred the deceased to the government-run Osmania Hospital for autopsy. Evidence was collected at the scene by the investigation team. Surveillance footage was also reviewed by the police.

Assistant Commissioner of Police Shiva Maruti and Deputy Commissioner of Police Joel Davis examined the crime scene along with other officials.

According to a police officer, they opened an investigation and filed a report. Old animosity is believed to be the motive behind the murder.

Another man was killed on Tuesday night. Secunderabad’s Lalaguda neighbourhood was where the victim’s body was found. The man was identified as Afsar, a Borabanda resident.

It has been reported that the deceased was a suspect in a 2017 murder. He was just released from prison.

The authorities believe the suspects killed him elsewhere before dumping his body in Lalaguda.

A 21-year-old thief was stabbed to death by his partner in crime while they were drinking alcohol at an open place at MLA Colony, Road No. 12, Banjara Hills on Tuesday evening.

Mohammed Omer, a resident of NBT Nagar, Banjara Hills, was identified as the deceased.

“Our team had discovered a man dead on the ground. Using the ID card we found in his pocket, we contacted his family and he was identified as Omer,” Banjara Hills inspector K Nageswar Rao said.

Omer’s friend has been arrested and a murder case has been filed against him.
