Indo-Arab League Chairman Urges PM Modi to Resolve Ongoing Israeli Atrocities on Palestinians

Indo-Arab League Chairman Syed Vicaruddin urged Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi to intervene and resolve the ongoing Israeli atrocities on innocent Palestinians and to ensure peace in the State of Palestine which is struggling to achieve its own independence.

In a letter to PM Modi, Vicaruddin said that the Israeli atrocities on innocent Palestinians at Al-Aqsa Mosque (world’s third-holiest site for Muslims) and parts of Jerusalem; the Israeli air raids on Gaza which resulted in the death of hundreds of civilians is a blatant violation of international laws and a crime against humanity.

Stating that the support for the Palestinian cause has been a cornerstone of India’s foreign policy, Vicaruddin requested the Indian government to intervene, for an early resumption of the dialogue between Palestine and Israel for moving towards a comprehensive and negotiated resolution”. Also making sure that Israel will not execute any further war crimes against humanity in Palestine.

In separate letters to the United States General Secretary António Guterres, Organisation of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) Secretary-General Dr Yousef Bin Ahmad Al-Othaimeen and Arab League General Secretary Ahmed Aboul Gheit on the Palestinian issue, Vicaruddin request them to called on the International Criminal Court (ICC) prosecutor to “investigate and prosecute individuals credibly implicated” in apartheid and persecution.

Vicaruddin also urged the international communities to act swiftly and decisively to respond to the latest Israeli aggressions and in strong solidarity with the people of Palestine in the wake of the Israeli aggression and to ensure peace in the State of Palestine.
