Indrakaran opens Kerala Help camp at Ravindra Bharati

Hyderabad: Housing and Endowment Minister, A Indrakaran Reddy today launched a “Kerala flood victims fund Camp at Ravindra Bharathi here. On the occasion he told press persons that he will provide one month salary towards help to Kerala state. The minister expressed concern that Kerala state has been under adverse effect of continuous rains and floods leaving the people in a chaos and mayhem.

Indrakaran Redddy made a fervent appeal to people, industrialists and businessmen to provide help generously to help the victims in Kerala. Several people are shifted to safe places, landslides adding to woes of people hit by rains and floods he said. Even as 11 districts are on high alert in Kerala while old people, women and children confined to houses, apartments there is an immediate need to provide all help to the victims who are being rescued using boats and other material, the minister said. More than 20000 people are making a painful living in Chelakkudi, Pathanam Thitta and Chenganur districts in Kerala he added. (NSS)
