Jailed Saints Granted Land in Magh Mela for Camps

As per the latest reports, many of the tainted and jailed saints and strict associations have been designated land in the forthcoming Magh Mela municipality, prompting dispute among the diviner fraternity.

Ganga Sena Allocated Land

Anand Giri, who is held up in Naini Central Jail for supposed abetment to self destruction of previous Akhil Bhartiya Akhara Parishad chief mahant Narendra Giri, is one such “saint’.

Anand Giri, the founder of Ganga Sena Shivir, was arrested last year following the passing of his master Mahant Narendra Giri, who was tracked down dead in his ashram on September 20. The Ganga Sena is being allocated land in Sector 5.

It might very well be reviewed that in 2019 during the Kumbh Mela, it was Mahant Narendra Giri who had mentioned the Mela organization not to give land to spoiled establishments, after which the then mela official Vijay Kiran Anand had restricted every such foundation.

Binaika Baba Also Allocated Land In The Magh Mela Municipality

Another tainted saint who has been designated land in the Magh Mela municipality is Ram Subhag Das of Saket Dham, prevalently called Binaika Baba. He is as of now in prison in Madhya Pradesh on charges of assault.

The Saket Dham camp is on Triveni Road in the Jhunsi side of the Ganga. The camp of these saints was well known for his love of electronic contraptions. His camp generally has tech plans and ‘Binaika Baba’ was consistently accessible on walkie-talkie. He was quick to introduce CCTV cameras in his camp in the Mela region.

Swami Amrit Das will care for the camp of this association this year.

Magh Mela Adhikari Shesh Mani Pandey, when asked, said, “It is actually the case that a few diviners are in prison, however their camps are visited by kalpvasis, who stay here each year. In such a circumstance, others of the association applied for allocating land. The assignment has been finished remembering the interest of individuals coming for kalpvas.”
