Joe Biden Orders 100 Million For Covid 19 Vaccines; Promises To Help World Later

Joe Biden, the President of the United States of America is putting his foot forward with more Covid 19 vaccines for the netizens. Reports suggest that his administration is looking forward to ordering one hundred million doses of the coronavirus vaccine from Johnson & Johnson.

Joe Biden Promises To Have Enough Vaccines By May End

Biden made a statement on Wednesday about the vaccines in the United States. He said that they have hit a new record of 2.9 million vaccinations in a single day. And they aim at having enough Covid 19 vaccines for every adult in the States by May end. This has drastically changed his deadline which he earlier set for July end this year.

With the new purchase of a 100 million doses, the total vaccine order in the US has reached 800 million doses.

Three Covid 19 Vaccines Already In Works

As for now, there are three Covid 19 vaccines that are authorized for emergency usage. The US Food and Drug Administration authorised Pzfizer, BioNTec and Moderna in December 2020 to supply vaccines in the US.

However, the Johnson & Johnson’s Covid 19 vaccine was approved in the same category on February 27, 2021. It is the first single dose vaccine in the US unlike others that requires two doses.

Reports suggest that so far 127 million vaccines have been distributed across the country. And more than 95 million doses are administered as per the reports from the US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.

Talking to the reporters, Joe Biden also said that once they have taken care of the people in America, they will help the world with the vaccines as well. This comes after Biden promised to donate $4 billion for COVAX global initiative which ensures that the vaccine is distributed in developing countries as well.
