Kamalakar asks to prevent farm produce from other states

Civil Supplies Minister Kamalakar today said that the state government is taking all measures to procure paddy and grains from the farmers. He instructed the officials that the farm yield from other states should not reach our state.

Conduct more checks at the borders and ensure that vehicles carrying food grains from other states do not reach Telangana.

Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao has taken steps to see that the farmers sell directly their farm produce and get MSP and benefits.

He held a review meeting on Yasangi season procurement of farm yield with the officials concerned.  On the occasion, Kamalakar said that the state government is offering better MSP to its farmers compared to other states.

Purchase of grains will be as per the process of issuing tokens and the farmers should cooperate for this the minister said. Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao has spoken to the Centre to ensure that FCI purchases and procures farm yield in Telangana. Our aim is to see that the farmers get timely help from these purchase centers, he said.

He instructed the officials to ensure that the farmers get MSP on getting pure quality grains and yield. Kamalakar said that they are taking measures to address the shortage of gunny bags.
