KCR ignoring farmers welfare after retaining power: Bhatti

Hyderabad: Telangana CLP Leader Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka on Thursday came down heavily on the TRS government for ignoring the problems faced by people of the State.

Addressing mediapersons here today, Bhatti said the agriculture sector plunged into a deep crisis in Telangana State. He said the death of a farmer in Dubbaka mandal under CM KCR’s home district hurt him deeply. He said the farmers were facing many problems to get urea. He also alleged that Rythu Bandhu money had also not come into the accounts of the farmers even after beginning of Kharif season.

Alleging that the State government had ignored the scheme after returning to power for second consecutive term, Vikramarka said the farmers were not getting loans due to non-waiver of their farm loans obtained earlier. On strengthening the party, he said they held discussions on the issue of party membership drive and strategies to be adopted in the upcoming municipal elections with the AICC leaders.

The CLP leader said they were contemplating to launch agitation over PPAs and corruption in different schemes of the State government. He said they would meet Union Home Minister Amit Shah shortly and urge him to order an inquiry into the “irregularities” committed in the PPAs. He also clarified that he was not in the race for the post of TPCC president.  (NSS)
