KCR second to none in strengthening Education sector: Jagadish Reddy

Hyderabad: Education Minister G Jagadish Reddy today observed that no one can compete with Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao in strengthening Education sector and giving respect to Teachers in the State.

Addressing gathering at Teachers Day celebrations conducted by the State government at Ravindra Bharati here today, the minister said KCR was giving top priority to Education sector since formation of Telangana State. Pointing out that the Chief Minister has been taking measures to improve quality of education in the State, Jagadish Reddy said the Chief Minister launched a sizeable number of Residential schools for the children of weaker sections, Minorities, SC, ST and BCs and spending Rs 15,000 crore annually on education sector alone.

Jagadish Reddy said KCR has invited his teacher to the camp office and gave respect to him and no one can compete with him in this regard. Stating that Teacher job gives more satisfaction than any other profession, the minister said they shape up students as future citizens by offering knowledge to build their own careers in future. Jagadish Reddy also offered best Teacher awards to 43 school teachers, 10 from Junior Colleges, five from Aided Colleges, 14 of Degree Colleges and 30 from several Universities.
