KTR asks Arvind to talk to Military officials to open Cantonment roads

Municipal and IT Minister KT Rama Rao today expressed displeasure at the continuous road closure in the Secunderabad Cantonment area causing a lot of inconvenience to people. Taking to Twitter the minister said that the issue will be resolved through a meeting with local military officials.

 

It may be said here that the state government has time and again urged the Centre to resolve the continuous issue. The roads in cantonment are closed for a long time causing problems to people, the government informed the Centre. Some letters were also written by the government to defense minister Rajnath Singh in this regard and the issue still remains unaddressed.

He asked municipal principal secretary Arvind Kumar to address the same at the earliest. KTR said that the government will certainly stand with the people and address their issues pertaining to the roads.

He asked the officials to hold talks with the military officials and resolved the issue amicably. According to information 21 roads were closed by the military officials in 2018 and it is been causing a huge inconvenience to the local people.

Local NGO green Sainikpuri has appealed to the minister to address the same. In response to this, the minister has instructed Arvind Kumar to settle the matter. In turn, the official said that he will hold a meeting with local military officials and resolve the issue amicably.
