KTR initiative helps Thalassemia patients

With Telangana Industries and Municipal Minister KT Rama Rao initiative patients of Thalassemia patients and their family members and ensured they get e -challans during lockdown and tide over related problems.

The minister instructed the home minister Mahamood Ali, DGP Mahender Reddy to issue e-challans to families facing health emergencies by easing the norms.

One GP Singh has appealed to KTR on a Twitter account that his granddaughter, a Thalassemia patient, facing blood disorder, was joined in Pune’s Deenanath Mangeshkar hospital for blood transfusion to protect her life.

He was denied an e-challan from the E-portal and state police. Since the girl needs blood we need to provide it by May 23, he added. My daughter-in-law has applied for the same again and please help us get a pass, he deplored.

Singh tagged this information to the minister who in turn instructed to the officials and the minister.

With this, the Home Minister and DGP took immediate steps and instructed the officials at all levels to issue e-challans to people facing health emergencies.

The DGP ensured that the state e-portal and state police website made necessary changes to issue e-challans in such cases. Mahender Reddy said that e-challans are streamlined to get for the people facing medical emergencies. (NSS)
