The left parties of the country have decided to hold their protest programs against the continuous rise in the prices of petrol and diesel from June 16, 2021, to June 30, 2021.
The left parties like CPI, CPM, and All India Forward Bloc Revolutionary Socialist party CPML- liberation issued a joint statement on the issue today.
In their statement, they said that the continuous increase in the prices of petrol and diesel was affecting the lives of the ordinary people of the county.

They said that the petrol prices had gone up 21 times after the declaration of assembly elections results on May 2, 2021. They told the central government that it was not right for it to burden the common people of the country with increased fuel prices amid the Covid virus pandemic.
They made it clear that the impact of the increase in fuel prices would have an impact on the Wholesale Price Index (WPI) and added that the WPI had hit an 11 year low.
