Hyderabad: State endowments minister A. Indrakaran Reddy today called upon the people of the state to join hands with the state government to build a polio-free society in the state. He made these remarks after launching the universal pulse polio immunization program At the bus stand center Nirmal district headquarters.
He administered the polio drops on children who are less than five years of age. Speaking on the occasion he said that all children who are less than five years old should be administered the polio drops to keep the deadly poliovirus at bay.
He said that the state government had set up the polio administration centers at all bus stands and crowded places of the state and added that the centers would be available for the next three days.
He urged all the parents to bring their children to the centers and administer the drops. Later the minister visited the cargo transportation center being run by TSRTC on the bus stand premises and interacted with the staff of the center.
