The death of another farmer in Chintalamanepalli Mandal center on Friday was caused by lightning strikes while he was sowing cotton seeds. A resident of Chintalamanepalli Mandal headquarters, Rauthu Ravuji (42), was identified as the victim.
As a result of the lightning strike, Ravuji lost consciousness. As he was being transferred to a hospital, he breathed his last.
Adilabad farmer and farm laborer killed by lightning
There were two separate lightning strikes on Friday in Narnoor and Indervelli mandals, which struck both a farm laborer and a woman farmer dead. According to reports, the injured person is in a critical condition. There has been an incident in the erstwhile district of Adilabad for the eighth time.

According to the police, the first victim was Shaik Ayub (40), who is a resident of Rajulguda hamlet under Mankapur village of Narnoor Mandal center. Prahlad, a resident of Rajulguda village, was injured in the accident. Lightning struck Ayub while he was engaged in farm work, causing his death on the spot. The injured Prahlad was shifted to the Utnoor Mandal center to receive medical treatment. He is known to be in a serious medical condition. It is said that six daughters and his wife survive Ayub. His eldest daughter recently got married.
Meanwhile, Vagadthkar Suguna (30) died on the spot when she and Tukaram were planting cotton seeds at Mukhra (B) village in Echoda mndal when lightning struck them. There were minor injuries for Tukaram. The family of Suguna consists of a daughter and a son. During the week, lightning struck the erstwhile Adilabad district, killing seven people, including a boy. This district saw five farmers killed by lightning on June 20, 21, and 23 in Kaghaznagar, Koutala mandals, and Penchikalpet mandals.
On June 19, Sende Nagu Bai (35) and her son Vishnu (6) were killed by lightning in Indani village of Wankidi Mandal, Kumram Bheem Asifabad district. On June 11, Goskulla Ashanna Yadav (50), a resident of Dhanora village in Adilabad district, was struck by lightning and died.
