Mass singing of National anthem to take place across Telangana on August 16

The Telangana government has called for a ‘Telangana Rashtra Samoohika Jateeya Geeta Alapana’ (mass singing of the national anthem) across the state on August 16 as part of the ‘Swatantra Bharat Vajrotsavalu,’ an official release said on Friday.

Chief Secretary Somesh Kumar, in a release, said that a mass singing and playing of the national anthem will be organized on August 16 at 11.30 a.m. in all gram panchayats, wards in urban local bodies, important traffic junctions and landmarks, educational institutions, jails, offices, and market places, among others.

According to Somesh Kumar, all district collectors have prepared a plan of action for the event in collaboration with their respective Superintendents of Police/Commissioners.

The Chief Secretary urged everyone to participate in the program and stated that there will be no movement or noise during the event.

According to a separate release from the Hyderabad Metropolitan Development Authority, all parks under HMDA management will be free for public entry on August 15 as part of ‘Swatantra Bharat Vajrotsavalu.’

Meanwhile, as part of ‘Swatantra Bharat Vajrotsavalu,’ the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) is organizing a freedom rally on Saturday.

Telangana Ministers Talasani Srinivas Yadav, Mahmood Ali, Chief Secretary Somesh Kumar, Vajrotsawala Committee State Chairman, and Rajya Sabha member K Keshava Rao, Greater Hyderabad City Mayor Gadwal Vijayalakshmi, and other dignitaries will attend the rally, according to GHMC Commissioner Lokesh Kumar in a press release.

Somesh Kumar reviewed the plans for the city’s Independence Day celebrations at Golconda Fort. The Chief Secretary met with officials from the Police, GHMC, R&B, I&PR, Culture, and Revenue Departments to go over the ceremony’s plans.

Somesh Kumar stated on this occasion that the authorities should coordinate and make plans to organize the independence celebrations in a grand manner.
