Medha Rail coach factory boosts industry: KTR

Hyderabad: IT and Industries Minister, KTR  today laid the foundation for Medha Rail Coach factory at Kondakal in Shankarpally Mandal in Ranga Reddy district here along with finance minister T Harish Rao, Education Minister Sabitha Indra Reddy and others.

Speaking on the occasion, KTR has said that with the Medha initiative Rail coach factory is becoming reality in Telangana. He said that the center failed to set up a railway coach factor in Kazipet of Warangal in the past six years. As per the reorganization act, the center has to keep its promise he said.

The IT minister said that Telangana has been developing fast in the industry sector as the rail coach factory boosts its economy and offers employment. The government has signed a deal with Medha company in 2017 and the company will invest Rs 800 crore in 100 acres the minister said.  It will start manufacturing rail coaches, wagons in 2022, and the city is noted for contributing to the aviation industry from Adibhatla he said.

He hoped that the new facility will supply future coaches for metro rail in the city. The rail coach factory will boost industry growth,  economic development, and improve the standards of the lives of people he felt.

AS a citizen of Telangana I feel proud as the rail factory will deliver to industry needs he said.

KTR said that the city is to see a,160 km per hour high-speed rail as it was introduced between Varanasi and Delhi. We will encourage electric vehicles with a new policy he said.

The minister appealed business honchos to invest in the public-private sector and get support from the government he appealed.
