Minister Satyavathi inaugurates school in Mulugu as part of ‘Mana Ooru-Mana Badi’ program

Tribal Welfare Minister Satyavathi Rathod stated that the State government was developing government schools to strengthen the education system and provide quality education to students belonging to poor financial backgrounds. She stated that all necessary facilities would be provided in all government schools throughout the state within the next three years.

On Wednesday, the Minister inaugurated the Mandal Parishad Primary School built as part of the ‘Mana Ooru-Mana Badi’ program at Govindaraopet mandal centre in the district. Speaking on the occasion, she stated that the program would include the construction of toilets and kitchen sheds, as well as the provision of drinking water in all schools.

She also stated that the state government provides good food to students in addition to education.

ZP chairman Kusuma Jagadish, District Collector S Krishna Aditya, SP Gaush Alam and other officials were present.

Several government schools that lacked facilities in the past will receive all of the necessary facilities for the benefit of students as part of the ‘Mana Ooru-Mana Badi’ program. Under the first phase of the program, 13 schools in remote mandals such as Eturnagaram, Kannaigudem, Mangapet, and Tadwai have received facelifts totaling Rs 1.19 crore. They now resemble corporate schools.

According to District Collector S Krishna Aditya, 125 government schools had been selected in the first phase of the ambitious ‘Mana Ooru-Mana Badi program’ undertaken by the State government and till date, 13 schools had been developed.

With funds specifically allocated by the State government, the school buildings have been equipped with additional classrooms, advanced toilets, urinals, drinking water facilities, kitchen sheds, walking tracks, greenery dual desks, black boards, digital classrooms, library, computer lab, science lab, and furniture in order to provide quality education to the students in the district.

While Rs 26.5 crore were sanctioned for reconstruction of 125 schools in the district, 13 of them have been developed.
