Ministers give Rs 13.96 Cr to Goudas’ kin, praise CM

Excise, Tourism Minister V Srinivas Goud today said that the government of Telangana is for the welfare Gouda community. Along with Animal Husbandry and Cinematography Minister T Srinivas Yadav, he gave away cheques to the kin of deceased Gouda family members.

At a program in the city, they offered Rs 13.96 Cr to 588 family members of the Gouda community here.

The ministers offered this help to toddy tappers in Ravindra Bharathi Auditorium, in the city by 11 am.

Speaking on the occasion, Goud claimed that KCR Government revived the toddy tappers profession by starting shops in the state. The beneficiaries kin include 126  deceased, 147 permanent disability, git Rs 5 lakh each, 315 temporary disability got ars 10000 each.

A Neera cafe to be started at Tank Bund by spending Rs 20 Cr besides setting up one in each district they said. They get 3.80 Cr toddy trees and families will get education facilities.

We feel fortunate to provide financial assistance a total amount to the tune of Rs 13.96 crores distributed to the affected families. All the community professions were revived and developed by the chief minister they claimed. KCR began several programs for welfare with vision and determination.

Toddy tappers will get a Gouda community center in the city which got Rs 5 Cro from the government they said. The Goudas are now involved in the profession by getting more toddy trees.
