Modi rang to Jagan on Vijayawada fire incident

Vijayawada:  Prime Minister Narendra Modi rang Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy on the Vijayawada fire incident. The Chief Minister informed him about the details of the incident. The Chief Minister said that a private hospital hotel was leased and corona patients were kept in it and a fire broke out in wee hours of the day.

He pointed out that the higher officials rushed to the spot and immediately started the relief measures, however Unfortunately few people have died in this incident. Medical Authorities have already been instructed to provide better medical care to the injured. The CM also told the Prime Minister that compensation of Rs 50 lakh per family has also been announced by him to help the families of the deceased.

He maintained that so far 9 people have died in this incident. Official sources revealed that Suffocation due to thick smoke was suspected to be the reason for the death of patients. Minister for Endowment V Srinivas visited the hotel and enquired about the condition of patients with the officials.

Meanwhile, Union Minister for state Home G. Kishan Reddy expressed his shock over this incident and expressed his deepest condolences to the families of those killed in the accident. Reddy prayed for a speedy recovery of the injured. On the other hand, Chief Minister YS Jaganmohan Reddy announced a compensation of Rs 50 lakh to the kith and kin of the deceased. He directed to provide better medical care to the injured.

Meantime Andhra Pradesh Congress Committee President Shailaja Nath expressed shock over this incident and expressed sympathy to the families of the deceased. He said that state govt is responsible for this incident. He demanded the state government provide better treatment to the injured and conduct a comprehensive investigation of this incident.
