Money spent on ‘Gift A Smile’ is better spent than on election spending: KTR

The Telangana minister for IT and industries said on Thursday that the Gift A Smile campaign is a much better use of money than spending on elections.

At a Gift A Smile event in Rajanna Sircilla, KTR praised the chief minister for his efforts to improve education in the state. A total of 6000 Samsung Akash Byju tabs were distributed to students in Government schools in the area in classes 11 and 12.

“Since I was elected as your MLA, I have worked hard to develop the constituency. Once elected, politicians become very proud of themselves. However, it is only an illusion. Everyone is only here for a short period of time. As long as we have this power, we must make the most of it,” he said.

Instead of spending large amounts of money on banners and advertisements for his birthdays, he asked the Sircilla collector about the number of ambulances in the area and decided to fund 6 ambulances. The TRS ministers also liked the idea, and 120 ambulances were donated to the health department.

“The next year, I had an idea to help the citizens of Divyang. A total of 1200 three-wheeler motor vehicles were distributed. Lockdowns were a challenge this year for students. Those without electronic devices had difficulty keeping up. In 13 Mandals, tabs with this idea are being distributed. Today, 6000 students will receive their tabs,” he said.

As a result of the free tabs provided by Byju’s, the minister thanked the educational technology company. In Hyderabad, children with entrepreneurial thoughts will be taken for free to THub.

Those who study in English medium schools aren’t the only ones who have talent. Using resources like T Hub, We Hub, and TSIC, he encouraged the public to create jobs and provide employment for others.
