More Skyways to City, KTR Starts Balanagar Flyover

Municipal Administration and Industries Minister, KT Rama Rao today stated that the government is for addressing the traffic problems in the twin cities. With one worker Shivamma of Wanaparty, KT Rama Rao inaugurated a six-lane flyover at the busy Balanagar crossroads in the city here.

Ministers T Srinivas Yadav, Malla Reddy, MLAs Krishna Rao, Vivek, Mayor Vijaya Lakshmi, and officials were present.

Speaking on the occasion KT Rama Rao said that this junction is famous as Narasapur crossroads which gets a reprieve from the present traffic snarls. HMDA built this flyover by spending Rs 385 Cr in 1.13 km stretch, 26 pillars, and 24 meters width, KTR said. This new flyover will surely ease off traffic woes and jams and gives a joy ride with lighting effects, and green cover, the minister expressed hope.

On 2017 August 21, KTR laid the foundation stone for this project under SRDP which is now completed after three years.

He said that the new flyover is being named Babu Jagjivan Ram Flyover. The Minister also paid floral tributes to the leader. He got the Flyover inaugurated by cutting a ribbon with Shivamma who worked for it.

Balanagar crossroads is one of the busy areas with more traffic woes in the city and the bridge gets a reprieve he felt. It is to address such issues that Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao is developing infrastructure under the Strategic Road Development Plan.

The government is ready to construct more flyovers, roads, and underpasses in the future he said. Soon we will build another flyover to Suchithra area from Patney center in Secunderabad.

Due to negligence by the center the skyways construction is not becoming possible he expressed concern.

The center is not giving its lands for the purpose which is causing a delay in the skyways. Officials concerned said that the new flyover was built to cater needs of traffic and the public by 2050.
