More Than 300 People Test Positive For Covid 19 In Parliament

As per the latest reports, over 300 more Parliament staff members tested positive for Covid-19 between January 9 and 12. Prior to January 9, a bigger number of more than 400 of them had tried positive during irregular testing.

718 Parliament Staff Members Test Positive For Covid 19 

“Till now, around 718 Parliament staff members have succumbed to the infection. Of the aggregate, 204 are from the Rajya Sabha secretariat while the excess is from the Lok Sabha secretariat and unified administrations,” the sources said.

On Monday, concerned over the cases, Rajya Sabha Chairman and the Lok Sabha Speaker coordinated the Secretaries-General of both the houses to recommend measures for the safe lead of the forthcoming budget session.

Work From Home Until January End 

Both the Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha have requested a third of their staff to work from home, authorities in the know of the matter informed.
