Mother Dairy Increases Milk Prices by Rs 2 Per Litre

Recently, Amul Milk (packed) increased their prices by Rs 2 per litre, Delhi’s leading milk supplier Mother Diary too has announced an increase with the same amount.

Mother Dairy New Prices Implemented Since July 11

As per the latest reports, sources from Mother Dairy spoke to the media about the same. They said that they are compelled to raise the milk prices by Rs 2 per liter in the Delhi-NCR. And the same will be followed from July 11, 2021.

From July 11, one will have to pay Rs 57 for one liter of Mother Dairy milk instead of Rs 55. The prices have been increased for all of their milk varieties. It includes bulk vended milk – Rs 44, Full cream – Rs 57 per liter, Toned Milk – Rs 47 per liter, double toned milk — Rs 41 per liter, Cow Milk – Rs 49 per liter, Super T-milk – Rs 26 per liter, Standardized milk – Rs 51 per liter.

The last time when Mother Dairy increased its prices was back in December 2019.

Mother Dairy Increased Prices To Recover From The Pandemic Loss 

A senior employee of Mother Dairy spoke to the media and revealed that there were talks about rising the milk prices but the decision was put on hold.

But the Amul increased their prices and Mother Dairy was compelled to do the same. Align with the fact that Mother Dairy also needed to recover from the losses incurred during the Covid 19 pandemic.

He further said that the company has been experiencing inflationary pressure to cover the input costs which have increased in the past year. Mother Dairy said that the farm prices have increased by around 4 percent in the past couple of weeks. Even after paying high prices for milk procurement in the last year, the consumer prices were kept the same.
