Hyderabad: The accused of killing ten people in Warangal district a couple of months back Sanjay Singh was sentenced to death by a fast track court today. The judge of the fast track court K. Jaya Kumar pronounced the judgment in an open court.
The court said that the accused Sanjay Singh had killed 9 more people to hide the truth of one murder by him. The investigation officer in the case CI Siva Ramaiah took up the case as a challenge and filed his charge sheet in a span of just 25 days despite the threat of Covid 19 virus after collecting strong evidence to ensure the conviction of the victim. The fast track court also completed its trial in a span of one month and pronounced the verdict.
The Warangal police commissioner Pramod Kumar has expressed his happiness over the verdict and congratulated the investigation for disposing off the case very early ensuring punishment to the guilty . The Residents of the district also expressed their happiness over the judgment . The tragic series of murders took place on May 21,2020 at an old mill on the outskirts of the Geesukondamandal of Warangal district. The nine dead bodies of the victims were found in an abandoned well of the mill.
The accused sanjay killed them all by throwing in the well after giving them sleeping pills. The victims have been identified as MaqsoodAlam, Nisha, Shabaaz. SohailAlam, BushraQatoon, BablooSriram and Shyam. The Warangal police took up the case as a challenge and ensured the conviction of the lone accused in the case.
