Naidu gives call to oppose community based politics

Amaravati: The opposition leader of the state and TDP national president Nara Chandrababu Naidu today gave a call to the people of the state to oppose community-based politics and atrocities against the SCs of the state by following on the nonviolence path shown by father of the nation Mahatma Gandhi. He said that achieving equality in society was the real tribute to Gandhi.

He said that it was unfortunate that Andhra Pradesh state was number one in the entire country in the issue of the atrocities against the SCs. In his tweet, he asked the people of the state to remember Gandhi on the occasion of his birth anniversary. He also recalled the services of former PM of the country Lal Bahadur Sastri whose birth Anniversary falls on the same day as Gandhi.

Recalling the words of Sastri, Naidu said that politics was nothing but doing public service without any selfish attitude. He said that Sastri was a leader who firmly believed that politics based on moral values would ensure a bright future for the people of the country.

He called upon the people of the state to move forward by following the Jai Kisan slogan of Lal Bahadur Sastri. On the other hand, the son of Naidu and the national general secretary of the party Nara Lokesh also paid tributes to Mahatma Gandhi on the occasion.
